ARTIST CALLOUT

tactileBOSCH present tB25: Fist Inside the Velvet Glove, a collaborative programme that will reflect on our archive and invite artists and audiences to reactivate past moments through liveness as artistic practice.

Since 2001, tactileBOSCH has created spaces where performance, installation, sound, sculpture and social encounter coexist in temporary autonomous zones where artists and audiences are free to play, fail, improvise, resist and embrace chaos.

We invite artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to apply. We are looking for work that is anarchic, joyful, confrontational, sexy, thoughtful or layered, work that challenges expectations and pushes at the edges of practice.

We welcome proposals across a range of media, including:

  • Performance, Live Art and Movement

  • Time-based work

  • Photography and moving image

  • Installation and Sculpture

·       Sound and music

Selected works will be presented between July and November 2026, in partnership with Ffotogallery (Cardiff), Elysium Gallery (Swansea), Chapter Arts centre (Cardiff), and additional venues tba.

Artists will receive:

  • A fee of up to £350 per selected work

  • Technical support and mentoring

  • Access to space where required

  • Additional support for materials, travel and accommodation where necessary

Responding to the Archive

For this call, we invite artists to respond to images from the tactileBOSCH archive, available on our website, you can find them via the link in our bio under ‘tB25: Fist Inside the Velvet Glove.’ These images offer fragments of past events, capturing atmospheres, gestures, moments and traces of earlier experiments.

Proposals do not need to interpret the images literally. Instead, we encourage artists to use them as starting points: prompts for speculation, reinterpretation, or entirely new directions.

  • Up to 5 images of previous work

Mae tactileBOSCH yn cyflwyno tB25: Fist Inside the Velvet Glove, sef rhaglen gydweithredol a fydd yn myfyrio ar ein harchif ac yn gwahodd artistiaid a chynulleidfaoedd i ail-fyw eiliadau’r gorffennol drwy fywiogrwydd fel arfer artistig.

Ers 2001, mae tactileBOSCH wedi creu gofod lle mae perfformiad, gosodwaith, sain, cerflunwaith a chyfarfyddiad cymdeithasol yn cydfodoli mewn parthau ymreolaethol dros dro lle mae artistiaid a chynulleidfaoedd yn rhydd i chwarae, methu, byrfyfyrio, gwrthsefyll a chofleidio anhrefn.

Rydyn ni’n gwahodd artistiaid o bob cefndir a lefel profiad i wneud cais. Rydyn ni’n chwilio am waith sy’n anarchaidd, yn llawen, yn gwrthdaro, yn rhywiol, yn feddylgar neu’n haenog, gwaith sy’n herio disgwyliadau ac yn gwthio ymylon arfer. 

Rydyn ni’n croesawu cynigion ar draws amrywiaeth o gyfryngau, gan gynnwys:

  • Perfformiad

  • Gwaith sy’n seiliedig ar amser

  • Ffotograffiaeth

  • Ffilm

  • Cerflunwaith

  • Sain a cherddoriaeth

Bydd gweithiau dethol yn cael eu cyflwyno rhwng mis Gorffennaf a mis Tachwedd 2026, mewn partneriaeth â Ffotogallery (Caerdydd), Oriel Elysium (Abertawe), Canolfan Gelfyddydau Chapter (Caerdydd), a lleoliadau ychwanegol i’w cadarnhau.

Bydd artistiaid yn cael:

  • Ffi o hyd at £350 fesul gwaith a ddewisir

  • Cymorth technegol a mentora

  • Mynediad at ofod pan fydd angen

  • Cymorth ychwanegol ar gyfer deunyddiau, teithio a llety pan fydd angen
